Attarine Hand-Embroidered Tablecloth – Ecru
An eight-pointed star, embroidered thread by thread, radiates from the centre of the table. The Attarine tablecloth suits a family lunch as well as a festive dinner, and brings to every meal a little of the warmth of Moroccan hospitality.
The pattern
It takes its name from the Attarine madrasa, built in the 14th century in the heart of the Fez medina, near the spice and perfume souk, and known for its star-patterned zellige and carved cedar. At the centre, a geometric rosette; around it, eight embroidered rays run towards the edges, punctuated by small snowflake rosettes. For the rectangular and round sizes, the layout of the motifs is adapted to the shape of the tablecloth: on request, we will send you a photo of your tablecloth before shipping.
The craft
Each tablecloth is embroidered entirely by hand in Fez. Handwork leaves slight variations from one piece to the next: they are the signature of something made by hand.
A tablecloth made to be used
It is embroidered on Fez cloth, the traditional fabric of the medina’s embroiderers: sturdy, machine washable, quick to dry and barely creasing. A tablecloth made for life at the table, from everyday meals to long, generous gatherings.

Machine wash your tablecloth at 30°C, inside out, with similar colors; wash it separately for the first wash. Avoid bleach and harsh stain removers, which could damage the embroidery. Let it air dry rather than tumble dry, and if necessary, iron it on medium heat, inside out, to preserve the texture of the stitches.
